In plain English
Your fridge has a black metal grille at the back called the condenser. Its job is to release the heat that the compressor has pulled out of the inside of your fridge. The hotter the room and the more often the door is opened, the harder it works. In a Lahore summer kitchen, especially during load-shedding when there’s no fan or AC, that grille can stay uncomfortably hot for hours.
When the condenser stays hot:
- the compressor has to cycle more often to keep the inside cold,
- your electricity bill goes up,
- the compressor — by far the most expensive part of the fridge — wears out faster.
Two small 12V DC fans pushing room air across the condenser keep it close to room temperature. The compressor cycles less, the kitchen stays slightly cooler, and the fridge lasts longer.
It’s a simple, reversible upgrade. We install it cleanly so it doesn’t look like an after-market hack.
